Governor "WooWoo's" Message

Together, we make amazing things happen!

What...it's October already? This will be an exciting month for our District and Rotary International. October is Economic and Community Development Month.  Rotary supports investments in people to create measurable and enduring economic improvement in their lives and communities.  Many clubs in District 6380 have used Global or District grants to augment their efforts toward economic and community development.  Is your club involved in a sustainable community or global project?  Let your fellow Rotarians know by submitting a story for publication on our District 6380 website.

October is also Polio Awareness Month.  Our District is planning numerous activities to boost awareness of this terrible disease and raise funds for the eradication of polio.  What does your club have planned?  I am focused on supporting all club efforts targeting Rotary's #1 Initiative.    Please share your Polio events to ouRotary Facebook Group page as well as submit an article for publication on our District Website Rotary6380.org.

It's hard to believe that the first quarter of our Rotary year is already over.  As your CEEO “Chief Encouragement and Excitement Officer,” I'm working hard on all of my goals which includes an "official" visit to your club.  To date, I have attended meetings at 36 out of our 47 Rotary Clubs with the goal completing my visits by the end of November.  I’m having a wonderful time learning about each club and meeting new and old friends along the way during this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Sadly, I won’t be attending in person events with our Canadian branch of Rotarians any time soon but I look forward to connecting as we move further into the year.  In the meantime, your AGs will be delivering President Certificates, District Club Banner and marketing brochures to the Canada Clubs shortly.

Regardless of whether visiting in person or zooming in, I'm impressed with the dedication to service and the amazing service events that I'm seeing from all clubs. Thank you for all that you do!  I ask that you continue to make an impact by achieving great things in your community and beyond in order to Change Lives, Change Others and Change Ourselves.
